WHY WE EXIST
Protect creators. Make learning joyful.
We’re building an arts-based learning culture aligned with NEP 2020 — creativity, critical thinking, life skills, and local context.
Purpose (clear + measurable)
- Problem: schools crush free thinking and creativity.
- Vision: every child remains a creator.
- Model: CLAP Fellows bring arts into classrooms and community.
What this stage builds
- A clear mission teachers and parents can repeat.
- Trust-first spaces that feel safe for children.
- A culture where curiosity is protected, not punished.
Signals to look for
- Children participate without fear.
- Teachers use play/arts as routine, not “extra”.
- Parents notice confidence + expression at home.
Why it matters
If we don’t protect creativity early, we end up repairing confidence later.

0–6 MONTHS · FOUNDATION
Baseline + Fellows + first 10% content
Choose and train fellows, map learning levels, and launch arts-based modules for early grades.
Purpose (clear + measurable)
- Select and induct CLAP Fellows; allocate to schools/centres.
- Baseline assessment and clear targets.
- Design arts-based content for first 10% topics.
What this stage builds
- A reliable baseline so progress is real, not vibes.
- A trained field team with a consistent rhythm.
- A “starter kit” of modules that teachers can actually use.
Signals to look for
- Fellows can run sessions confidently.
- Baseline tools are simple enough for repeat use.
- Children settle into safe routines quickly.
Why it matters
Strong foundations prevent chaos later — baseline + team + modules make scale possible.

6–12 MONTHS · GROWTH
Joy becomes routine.
Fellows support teachers to use modules; expert + field visits deepen practice; student showcases begin.
Purpose (clear + measurable)
- Support educators in launchpad schools.
- Expert visits + field visits for fellows.
- Expand content to 15% topics + showcase learning.
What this stage builds
- Teacher confidence through co-facilitation.
- Visible progress the community can feel.
- A habit of reflection: what worked, what didn’t.
Signals to look for
- Teachers initiate activities; fellows support.
- Children explain ideas, not just answer.
- Showcases are joyful, not pressure-driven.
Why it matters
Growth is where culture starts to stick — pilot becomes practice.

12–18 MONTHS · TRANSFORMATION
Independence + systems.
Teachers run CLAP inside classrooms; fellows extend into community classes; partnerships begin.
Purpose (clear + measurable)
- Educators run offerings independently inside classrooms.
- Community classes started by fellows.
- Expand content to 20% topics + explore partners.
What this stage builds
- Simple systems: planning, tracking, and feedback loops.
- Community buy-in (parents, volunteers, local leaders).
- A resilient model that doesn’t break if one person leaves.
Signals to look for
- Sessions continue without founders around.
- Teachers share practices with other teachers.
- Partners ask “how to join”, not “why this?”
Why it matters
Transformation is quiet — but this is where scale becomes stable.

18–24 MONTHS · ADULT BUTTERFLY
Replication-ready culture.
Master trainers emerge, community capacity grows, and expansion becomes realistic with partners.
Purpose (clear + measurable)
- Educators evolve into master trainers.
- Parents/community capacity building by fellows.
- Expand content to 25% topics + scale with partners.
What this stage builds
- Train-the-trainer capability inside the ecosystem.
- A replicable playbook: what, how, and why.
- A movement: children → facilitators → centre leads.
Signals to look for
- New centres start with minimal supervision.
- Teachers mentor other teachers.
- Partners commit space, people, and funds.
Why it matters
Adult Butterfly isn’t “more activity” — it’s a culture that can fly without losing its soul.
